Our news reporter Rita Moore has come face to face with the mysterious dark stranger that single handedly rendered unconscious, fought criminals that were involved in a robbery and high pursuit police chase earlier in the evening inside an old warehouse. At gunpoint Jesse forces Rita to tell him where he is and finds that he's in New York City. She turns her back for a minute and suddenly he's gone. Rita comes home from work and finds Jesse in her living room.

Looking at a phone book he also learns to his dismay, the year is 2004 more than a hundred years into the future. Jesse explains that he's looking for some very dangerous people that are somewhere in the city. He pleads with Rita to help him find them before it's too late.
